I've spent 15 years writing and editing at the intersection of personal finance, travel, and consumer tech — from breaking news at Engadget to building the credit card coverage strategy at The Points Guy to leading a 15-person editorial team at Business Insider.
My writing is grounded in service journalism: clear, accurate, and useful to real people making real financial decisions. My editing is built on the belief that a great editor doesn't just catch errors — she shapes the story, protects the reader, and makes the writer look better than they thought possible.

Brand and editorial launch work
L.A. Reported is a nonprofit local news startup founded by Forbes and LA Times veterans Scott Woolley and Karin Klein. As assistant managing editor, I helped shape the publication's editorial identity from the ground up — including shepherding the rebrand that produced its distinctive art deco visual language. I also handle Substack configuration, UTM tracking, social media strategy, PR outreach, contributor coordination, and ad hoc AI applications for editorial production.
The publication launched in January 2026 to strong early readership.
